Allan C. Alongi

Since its inception, the Alongi Law Group has focused on building strong ties with the local community and forging lasting relationships with clients.
Allan began his career working as a law clerk in Chicago while attending law school. Upon graduation, he joined an AV-rated firm in Downers Grove. He worked there for three years until he opened his own firm in Hinsdale, IL in 1989. For 21 years Allan practiced at the corner of Grant and Maple in Hinsdale until, in 2010, Allan opened his present office in the center of Clarendon Hills, IL directly across the street from the Village Hall and the Metra Train Station.
Elected to the Clarendon Hills Village Board in 2005, Allan was re-elected in 2009 and served until 2013. He chaired the Administration/Legislation Committee. Allan chaired the Electrical Aggregation Committee in 2012.
His professional memberships include the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Allan was appointed as Fee Arbitrator by the 18th Circuit Court and has also served as G.A.L. for probate judges over his career.
He is an active Rotarian in Hinsdale having served as Membership Chair, Scholarship Chair, and as a Board Member. He is a member of The Cliff Dwellers, an arts organization located in Chicago. In 2015 he became a director.
Allan is in his 33rd year representing Downers Grove Township, including the Highway Commission and the Town Board and Township Assessor.
In 2020 Allan was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Clarendon Hills Police Pension Fund.
Allan serves as Pro Bono legal counsel for various charities and non-profits and individuals in the Clarendon Hills community and in Chicagoland.
Allan received his Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology - Chicago Kent Law School and a B.G.S. from the University of Iowa.
